Clare King has been appointed as the County Welfare Officer, with Conor McElwee serving as Deputy County Welfare Officer.

Clare brings over 20 years’ experience in the further education sector, with extensive knowledge of safeguarding policy, procedures and training.
She has worked closely with safeguarding leads, handled student disclosures, and completed Archery GB’s required safeguarding courses alongside her role as a session coach.
Conor supports the role with 15 years of healthcare experience, including the last decade as a paramedic, as well as over 12 years volunteering with youth organisations such as St John Ambulance and The Scout Association.
Together they are committed to supporting clubs, strengthening safeguarding practices across the county, and ensuring archery remains a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for all members.
