Derbyshire Winter Coaching – March Session

It’s that time of year when we start to think about the indoor season and preparation for the winter coaching has begun. This year there are a few changes following Tony Fletcher’s retirement from County Coaching Co-ordinator. Harry Tanser has stepped up to run the coaching sessions and I will be doing the administration.
For those new to the winter coaching, it provides five sessions over the winter for county archers to get together for coaching, skills and drills, warm up exercises and bow set up. It’s a whole day, so plenty of time for archers to work on technique at a relaxed pace. Many archers attending are at novice levels, it is however for archers at all stages. There are opportunities for new coaches and those in training to work with and shadow experienced coaches.
The dates for this year are: 4th November, 2nd December, 27th January, 17th February and 9th March Time is the same as before, 10.00 AM to 3.30 PM with set up from 9am and clear away afterwards. The location is West Park School, Spondon, Derby.
